On March 24th, 2007, Projecting Stoke held an awards ceremony to celebrate
the achievements of all the people who took part in the scheme.
Over 300 people attended the event, which was hosted by Signal Radio
Breakfast Show DJs Andy and Louise. Watch our film of the show [COMING SOON!]
There were seven categories, and eight winners. The categories are as
follows:

BEST COMMUNITY DOCUMENTARY
WINNER: Waterhead Residents Association
Dir: Waterhead Residents Association
Judges comments: “A great film about this organisation’s
cause. The group were amazing to work with and have gone on to make 2
more films!”

BEST AMUSING DOCUMENTARY
WINNER: The Making of Buzzman!
Dir: Joe Dundas, Anne-Marie and Joe
Judges comments: “A very funny, yet informative, look at behind
the scenes of Projecting Stoke.”

JOINT WINNERS:
Goodbye Zoe
Dir: The Young People of Pembridge Road
Judges comments: “This film is sad, yet has an uplifting message.
Excellent performances from everyone.”
Ghost Story Dir: The Young People of Chell Heath Road
Judges comments: “Creepy! We particularly like the way the tension
built and the idea of using grainy footage added to that.”

Judges comments: “Dave is a star! All the members of Meir Boys
Brigade worked very hard on this, and it shows. They produced a touching

Dir: Stansfield Youth Inclusion Project
Judges comments: “A very professional looking music video and great
performances. This deserved to be in the Top 5 of those entered for the
Robbie Williams competition.”
