The Projecting Stoke scheme is run by a partnership of Hi8us Midlands Ltd, Stoke-on-Trent City Council, Staffordshire University and the Meir Resource Centre. The groups worked with Darren Teale, of Junction 15, and Chris Stone who are filmmakers based in Stoke-On-Trent. Longton High City Learning Centre also gave valuable time and produced two of the Meir films.
This scheme has received funding from Stoke-on-Trent City Council, Screen West Midlands and Equal-ITM, an initiative that strives to combat and prevent discrimination in the labour market.
